Can search and AI see your website
Two ratings out of 100: SEO — whether machines can read the site and classic search values it; GEO — whether the site is ready for AI assistants to read and cite it. Search is the foundation, GEO builds on top. We check the homepage and one inner page; it takes about half a minute.
Queued
The check shows what gets in the way. Activation is how it gets fixed — including talking to the sites that cite you. Request a review.
Two ratings, not one
SEO and GEO rest on different requirements, so merging them into a single number would be dishonest. A site can be flawless for Google and invisible to an AI assistant: it usually does not run scripts, does not pass age gates and does not rely on your site alone. The reverse happens too — fresh markup and an llms.txt on top of broken search hygiene.
Every check carries its own weight inside its rating: no text in the server response costs 14 SEO points, AI crawlers blocked costs 26 GEO points, security headers cost 2. The weight is shown on every line of the report, so the score can be added up by hand — the full weighting is on a separate page.
What we check
- Machine-readable (SEO). Whether the server response contains text without scripts, whether robots.txt and sitemap.xml are served, whether an unknown address returns 404, whether inner pages carry their own canonical, whether analytics sends events.
- Ranked by search (SEO). Redirects resolved to one address, no accidental noindex, unique title and description within limits, Organization and WebSite markup, hreflang for language versions, Open Graph, no http resources on an https page, security headers.
- Ready to be cited by AI (GEO). Whether AI crawlers are allowed and not cut off by User-Agent, whether llms.txt exists, whether key content arrives in raw HTML, whether the structure suits an answer, whether the brand entity is linked through sameAs, whether questions and answers are marked up, whether a freshness date is present.
Both ratings rest on the same foundation — text in the server response. Without it neither metadata nor markup can work: such a failure is shown as a separate error at the top of the report and costs more than any other line.
The check shows the cause, the measurement shows the result
The check measures readiness, not the fact. Whether AI actually cites you is not shown here — a measurement of its answers shows that. The measurement answers what AI says about the brand; the check answers why it might answer that way: if the site serves robots no text and links to no external profile, the cause shows in the report line by line.
A quick check does not replace an audit: it looks at two pages and does not measure loading speed. The full review covers the whole site and the external sources AI cites instead of you.
